This cabinet is FANTASTIC. The color is a muted oak, with no hint of orange. It took about 2 hours for two of us to put together, which is exactly what the instructions said it would take. Not difficult, just time consuming. It does have a thin back for the 2 middle shelves as well as the lower cabinet. The arch itself on the top is thin too. But it is sturdy if you take your time with it, which makes the value of what I paid worth it. What a beautiful statement piece! Eeee!~ Roxanne
